Last week, news broke that the Michelin Guide has expanded to the south. With South Carolina chefs and restaurants now eligible for this prestigious honor, we had a little fun asking, if it were up to you, which local restaurant would you select for the Michelin Guide American South? We received so many great submissions — take a look at some of them:

  • Honeysuckle Rose | A fine dining experience with five and eight-course prix fixe menus, complemented by wine pairings.
  • Marbled & Fin | A modern steakhouse offering meticulously crafted dishes and drinks.
  • Bintu Atelier | A vibrant eatery celebrating the bold flavors of Africa.
  • Chez Nous | A cozy spot offering elevated food and wine from France and across Europe.
  • Wild Olive | A beloved Johns Island restaurant known for its Italian cuisine.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled to see if any Lowcountry restaurants make the cut. Michelin announced that the 2025 restaurant selections will be revealed later.
