You’ll have to get your own order of pancakes, these look too good to share.

New menu alert. The Dewberry is unveiling not one but two new menus for guests to enjoy.

  • The Citrus Club’s menu will include small plates and shareables featuring classic seafood dishes with a twist, which pairs perfectly with its incredible views.
  • The Living Room menu is meant to offer the comfort of one’s own living room, featuring familiar dishes with an elevated twist. We’re eyeing the buttermilk pancakes with blueberry compote and Meyer lemon curd — yum.

The new menus come from The Dewberry’s newly announced culinary team led by Executive Chef Alex Ursprung. With over a decade of fine dining expertise, Ursprung will oversee The Living Room, Citrus Club, private events, banquets, and in-room dining service. In a press release, Urspring said, “It is inspiring to work in a city with such a rich culinary tradition, and I look forward to melding this history with my own culinary roots.”

City Editor Callie here — last September, Erika and I had the privilege of trying some of Ursprung’s dishes at a seek peak + introductory multi-course dinner hosted by The Dewberry, and all I can say is the Lowcountry is in for a treat.

Ursprung will be joined by newly appointed Food + Beverage Director Adam Jimenez, Chef de Cuisine Alex Castagneto, and The Dewberry’s tenured Executive Pastry Chef Jenn McCoy.
