The month of March brought a time change, a new season, a whole lot of pollen, and several new businesses.

To provide the lowdown on the Lowcountry, we’ve discussed what’s new to town, the history behind the Four Corners of Law, and guided you to the best staycation spots.

ICYMI – here are the top conversations we had with you this month:

Top conversation: The plan to revitalize West Ashley’s Citadel Mall
The Citadel Mall falls into a master plan for revitalizing + reshaping West Ashley. One chunk of that plan is anchored to converting the Citadel Mall + its surrounding properties into a new, mixed-use development – including offices, retail space + residential structures.

We asked you what you would like to see as part of the revitalization of The Citadel Mall and many of you responded with green spaces and/or a park.

Here are a few other conversations y’all engaged with this month:

  • 21 new businesses in the Lowcountry
From restaurants to fitness clubs, here’s what’s opened up around the area since the start of the new year.
  • Lowes Foods opens in Mount Pleasant
The Carolinas-based supermarket chain opened its second Lowcountry locations on Wednesday, March 27 at 8 a.m.
  • Charleston’s Four Corners of Law
Get hitched, ditched, taxed, and imprisoned all in one intersection. The intersection of Meeting and Broad St. was coined the “Four Corners of Law” by Robert Ripley in the 1930s. While the geography of the buildings seems convenient, the square actually evolved over the course of two centuries.
  • 7 places to staycation in CHS
Whether you’re looking for fun for the whole family or a romantic getaway, we’ve found a place to stay and some things to do for every type of staycationer.
