March Madness 2018 🏀

In case you missed it, it’s March, which means football’s out, basketball’s in, and opening day of baseball is right around the corner.

Last night, during the NCAA Selection Show, 36 basketball teams were chosen to compete in the Division 1 Men’s Basketball tournament deemed “March Madness.

For the TB; DW (Too Boring, Didn’t Watch):

  • 36 teams were chosen to compete as “at-large” bids
  • 32 teams made it automatically by winning their conference tournament championship (hello CofC)

That’s 68 total teams for those of you keeping count.

For S.C.– the Gamecocks are out; Clemson’s in, + College of Charleston made it through by winning the Colonial Conference.

Now what? In the name of friendly competition, we’re hosting our own NCAA March Madness bracket tournament with $100 on the line.

Let’s Play!

After being wallflowers for the past 19 years, it is finally time for CofC to take the court for the “Big Dance.”

Here’s to hoping that Earl will grant us that win– when the No. 13 seed Cougars take on No. 4 seed Auburn this Friday in San Diego. (And to CHStoday taking the ‘W’ against our sister publications.)

Don’t bench yourself, sign up for our bracket here.
