Happy Monday, Charleston. This past weekend was action packed – from High Water Fest in North Charleston, to the long-awaited reopening of Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner, to the Charleston Outdoor Festival on James Island. Though the weekend is over, the fun certainly is not.

Here are the events we’re most looking forward to in the week ahead:

Pints and Politics | Thurs., April 18 | Container Bar, 2130 Mount Pleasant St. |

Free, register | “Consider it a low-key way to connect and talk about politics on a real human level.” Featuring special guest U.S. Rep. Joe Cunningham, D-Charleston.

Charleston Songwriters Festival | April 18-20 | Times + locations vary, see the full schedule here | $49+ | This year’s inaugural event will feature both country + Americana musicians at venues across CHS.

Lowcountry Wingapaloza | Fri., April 19 | 7-10 p.m. | Charleston Visitor Center, 385 Meeting St. | $22 | Taste your way around the best wings in Charleston. Proceeds to benefit the Eagle Harbor Ranch.

Cultura Festival | Sat., April 20 | 5:30 p.m. | The Royal American, 970 Morrison Dr. | $20 | A celebration of local hip-hop + R&B featuring artists such as Nory, Abstract That Rapper & Slim Soul, Jah Jr., Anfernee, Shaniqua McCants, Contour, Niecy Blues, Benjamin Starr, and Matt Monday.

An Evening With Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds | Sat., April 20 | 7:30 p.m. | Volvo Car Stadium | Tickets sold through Ticketmaster are mostly sold out, but there are still some available on StubHub with prices starting at $77.76.

10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Sat., April 20 | 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | Magnolia Plantation and Gardens | Free with garden admission ($20 for adults, $10 for children) | Space is limited, so plan to arrive one hour before your hunt time—time slots are divided by age group.

If you’re interested in seeing more Easter-themed events, stay tuned: we’ll share a full list of those on Thursday.
