- Impossible? Or “Kim Possible?” Columbia teenager Sadie Stanley landed the leading role in the upcoming Disney live-action Kim Possible movie– during her first-ever audition. Stanley will star alongside Sean Giambrone– who will play Ron Stoppable, Kim’s sidekick + best friend. (You may know Giambrone for his role as Adam on the ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs.”)
- On May 11, 1990, Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. delivered this moving speech at the grand opening of Waterfront Park. The Charleston Parks Conservancy will hold a public rededication of the eight-acre park– which is visited by more than four million people annually– this Saturday in honor of Mayor Riley.
