Spring is in full swing in the Lowcountry and there are tons of exciting events coming up in the next few months. We narrowed it down to 12 fun festivities to check out in honor of the warm weather.

Spring Garden Strolls & Wine Tastings schedule | Wednesdays April 28-May 26 | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Middleton Place, 4300 Ashley River Rd | Tickets $20-25 | Take a stroll through the gorgeous gardens at Middleton Place while you sample wines.

Safe Sounds at Firefly | Through Sat., June 26 | Shows begin at 7 p.m. | Firefly Distillery, 4201 Spruill Ave., North Charleston | Prices per square vary; tickets here | This outdoor, socially-distant concert series can be enjoyed on Firefly’s lawn with chairs and blankets in a 10 ft. x 10. ft “square” — pets, coolers + outside food and drink not allowed.

Festival of Houses and Gardens | Through Tues., Aug. 17 | Times + locations vary | Prices vary | Explore some of the country’s most beautiful houses + gardens right here in Charleston. Programming extended through summer.

North Charleston Arts Fest | Wed., April 28-Sun., May 2 | Times + venues vary; see map here | Free to attend | Major events like the World Art Expo + Children’s Festival will not take place this year. In-person and virtual events will be offered. Participant applications can be found here.

Charleston RiverDogs 2021 season | Tues., May 4-Sun., Sept. 12 | Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, 360 Fishburne St. | Prices vary; tickets here | The RiverDogs are returning to the Joe this spring following MiLB’s 2020 season cancellation + will host a reduced number of in-person fans.

PGA Championship | Thurs., May 20-Sun., May 23 | The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island | Tickets unavailable; broadcast info here | The 2021 golf tournament will host a limited number of in-person spectators + can be streamed on various channels.

Symphony Tour of Homes | Sat., May 22-Sun., May 23 | 10-6 p.m. | Queen Street Playhouse, 20 Queen St. | Prices vary; tickets here | Charleston Symphony Orchestra League is hosting its first-ever tour through some of downtown’s most beautiful homes and gardens.

Holy City Farmers Market | Last Saturday of the month Now-Nov. | Firefly Distillery, 4201 Spruill Ave., North Charleston | Enjoy this farmers market pop-up event on the last Saturday of every month from now through November.

First Saturday Stroll | First Saturday of every month | 9-5 p.m. | Charleston Gallery Association art galleries | Join this self-guided tour of downtown art galleries where you can explore exhibitions + meet local artists.

Spoleto Festival USA | Fri., May 28-Sun., June 13 | Times + venues vary | Ticket info here | America’s major performing arts festival will return to the Holy City this year bringing diverse attractions — lineup info here.

Piccolo Spoleto Festival | Fri., May 28-Sun., June 13 | Times + venues vary | Free | Southern version of the international Spoleto Fest featuring artists from the Southeast. Schedule will be released online mid-May.
