Tear off the top sheet of your desk calendars, Charleston, because February is on its way out. It may be the shortest month of the year, but we still managed to pack a whole lot into it– from exploring the vibrant history of Charleston’s famous Pink House, to eating our way through the Upper Peninsula’s pizza district. Not to mention, celebrating CHStoday’s first birthday was pretty exciting, too.

Here are the 5 stories our readers enjoyed most in February:

1️⃣ History of the Pink House | The iconic pink building at 17 Chalmers St. is believed by many to be the oldest house in Charleston. Throughout the centuries, the house has been used as a tavern + brothel, a law office, a private residence, an art gallery, and, most recently– a place for swooning Instagrammers to capture the perfect picturesque shot.

2️⃣ Behind the scenes of the CHScupid blind dates | Last month, we asked our readers to send us the most eligible bachelors + bachelorettes in Charleston. After sifting through nearly 100 applications, three couples were chosen by y’all’s votes to meet for a blind dinner date. Here’s our recap of how they all went down.

3️⃣ 40+ downtown restaurants with free parking | Here’s your complete guide to downtown restaurants that offer free parking for their patrons. You’ll never have reservations about making reservations again.

4️⃣ 25 popular local Facebook groups | Need to get rid of an extra kitchen appliance or two? Got a question about local construction? Want to complain about your neighbor’s tacky lawn decor? There’s a Facebook group for that. Here are 25 of the most popular Charleston-area groups.

5️⃣ Charleston’s pizza district | A quick walk up King St. will lead you to Charleston’s very own “pizza district”– with access to 9+ unique pizza spots, all within a one-mile radius of each other.
