Let there be cake + peonies

Throughout our #MarryMeMonday wedding series, we have rounded up local wedding venues, photographers, stationery experts + calligraphers, and wedding attire + accessories.

But you simply can’t have a southern wedding without a traditional southern cake pulland for that, you need a cake.

Or maybe you’d prefer to opt for the tried + true bouquet tossand for that, you’ll need a florist.

So, to round out this year’s wedding series– we’re bringing you our guide to florists + wedding cake bakeries around the Lowcountry.

Cake tasting has definitely been my favorite part of the wedding planning process. Who’s with me? We chose Carmella’s Cafe & Dessert Bar not only because all of their baked goods are to die for, but also due to their close proximately to our downtown venue. 🍰

Our flowers are coming all the way from Summerville– a big thanks to all of the help we’ve received from Karen at OK Florist. 💐

While planning the big day on my own has been a blast (especially when it comes to sharing every bit of the process with y’all), we finally broke down and hired a day-of-coordinator to help with the final details. *Whew!*

I am still looking for some music though– so if you like to pluck the strings + have the voice of an angel– let me know in response to this email.
