Today we’re hearing from Adam Baslow – a partner in the Johns Island-based New Leaf where he and his team have been working hard to create a campaign that encourages community members to share the moments we love in our homes (no matter who built them!).

Worldwide, we’re all spending more time than ever in our homes, and many of our houses have really become the unsung heroes of 2020 – multi-tasking to double as schools, office buildings, entertainment centers and so much more.

As workplaces and schools hit the pause button, our homes have been seeing a lot more of us than usual. But there are others – like essential workers – that are pulled away from their homes for many hours and even days at a time. Both ends of that spectrum inspired us to create the #WhereDoYouLoveCHS campaign.

We think this is a great time to re-focus on the positives in our lives and celebrate these places that provide sanctuary and where we make memories every day and night. Maybe you’re excited about the new gym in your FROG, or the container garden that’s flourishing in your backyard. Maybe you’ve discovered a home office beats an office-office, hands down.

This initiative that invites friends and neighbors throughout the Lowcountry to share with others the moments they love in their homes is being conducted on Facebook and Instagram, and any adult 18 or over can participate.

All you do is take a photo or video of the spot or the moment you love most within the place you live. Post it to your social feeds with two hashtags: #WhereDoYouLoveCHS and #NewLeafBuilds. That’s it!

We’re excited to help our friends and neighbors focus on the moments that matter, and share these memories with our community.

Bonus: anyone who posts + uses the hashtag will be entered to win a staycation prize package. More details here.
