Odd Duck Market is spreading its wings with a new location planned for downtown

The market is a Park Circle favorite serving everything from breakfast and wines to unique gifts, all while supporting local brands.

A cozy café interior shows pastry cases filled with baked goods, fridges stocked with drinks, and a handwritten menu board. Warm lighting, rustic décor, and a “Grab & Go…Or Stay” sign invite customers.

Friendly, fresh, and local are a few things Odd Duck Market prides itself on.

Odd Duck Market — a Park Circle staple known for its welcoming community space, cafe, and market that highlights local brands — is expanding to a second location downtown. The new market will call 637 Rutledge Ave. in the Hampton Park area home, with plans to open next winter.

The market shines a light on local spots like Ruby’s Bagels and offers tons of gluten-free and vegan options.

It will make itself at home in a renovated historic bank building and add 15 jobs. Did we mention? The new location will have a wrap-around patio, a walk-up ordering window, and 28 parking spots – that’s basically a Charleston miracle.
