Charleston, it’s time to grab your tennis shoes and paddles and check out Crush Yard, Charleston’s first pickleball “eatertainment” experience (think: pickleball club, bar + restaurant). The new space is now open at 3365 S. Morgans Point Rd. in Mt. Pleasant.

The pickleball club

Picklers of all levels are welcome to explore this ~40,000-sqft space featuring eight indoor pickleball courts you can reserve by the hour.

Crush Yard’s pickleball program is supported by two local pros, Greg Dow and Anderson Scarpa, and offers leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and, of course, plain ole regular court play. Memberships are available, too.

The kitchen serves American cuisine favorites like smoked dry rub chicken wings and pretzel bites with Holy City Brewing’s beer cheese. There are also gluten-free and vegetarian items, plus a kids menu.

The bar has a self-serve beverage system carrying 36 beers (26 of those are from local spots), 10 wines, and six seasonal cocktails plus soda and coffee options.

In addition to the restaurant, Crush Yard offers a lounge-like space with several televisions.

Don’t forget: Check out the free Crush Yard app for all your membership, court rentals, and food ordering needs.

Crush Yard is open daily to the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and for members from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
