Let’s hear it for the Holy City, she’s done it again. For the fourth consecutive year (and 14th time in the last 15 years), Charleston has been named the No. 1 small city in the US by Condé Nast Traveler readers.

The global media company — known for its iconic magazines — bragged on our city, saying that although Charleston is considered small, it punches well above its weight. Highlighting the rich history, culture, food, and welcoming vibe.

The accolades don’t stop there; Hilton Head Island and Kiawah Island were voted the top islands in the US. Three Lowcountry resorts topped the list for best resorts in the South. Fun fact: The Sanctuary at Kiwash Island landed in the rankings for best resorts in the world.

The Dunlin was named a top 10 hotel in the South — we highly recommend a spa visit during your next stay. Plus, another 10 Charleston hotels were named the best in the city.
